Emma Stone Dethrones Jennifer Lawrence as World’s Highest-Paid Actress
Emma Stone is this year’s highest-paid actress, according to Forbes, banking $26 million pretax in Forbes’ 12-month scoring period. The actress beat Jennifer Aniston, who took the second spot on the list with earnings of $25.5 million, and Jennifer Lawrence, who came in at number three with $24 million. Lawrence had topped Forbes’ ranking two years in a row, last year making $46 million. Aniston, according to the publication, continues to make millions due to films like the upcoming “The Yellow Birds,” and endorsement deals with Emirates Airlines, Smartwater and Aveeno. Officials say actor John Heard, whose body was found last month in a Northern California hotel, died of cardiac arrest.
The Santa Clara County Coroner's Office said Tuesday an autopsy revealed the 71-year-old actor died "a sudden cardiac death due to atherosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease."
Heard was found dead July 21 in a hotel in Palo Alto. He was recovering from back surgery at Stanford University Medical Center.
The coroner's office says his back surgery did not play a role in his death.
